TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF BOOKING

Fishermans (“the Cottage”) is owned by the Seashore Cottage Company (“the Company”)

1. BOOKING

All offers and bookings are subject to availability.

When you tell us you would like to book we will reserve the relevant dates for you provided that you make the necessary payment as set out below promptly BUT please note that the Cottage is only booked at the point at which we issue the Booking Confirmation which will be sent out once we receive payment of the deposit or full amount due as required.

It is important to note that it is your responsibility to check the Booking Confirmation and let us know straight away if anything is incorrect as we cannot be held responsible for any errors within it.

2. PAYMENT

We will need a deposit of 25% of the full amount of your holiday before we can issue the Booking Confirmation.

If you book within 8 weeks of the start of your holiday then we will need payment in full.

Where you book 2 weeks or less before the start of your holiday then we will need payment by bank transfer.

3. ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE

You may arrive after 3.00pm on your first day unless you agree another time with us. If you are likely to be much later than that we ask that you telephone us to let us know. Departure is by 10.00 am on your last day.

4. CANCELLATION

BY YOU

If, after booking, some serious difficulty arises that means you are unable to take your holiday with us then please let us know straight away. We will be entitled to retain any money that you have already paid us but will consider refunding it to you depending on the reasons for and the timing of your cancellation.

BY US

We would only ever cancel your holiday in extreme circumstances such as but not exclusively a flood, fire, epidemic or substantial damage to the Cottage (Force Majeure) that was beyond our control. In such circumstances we are not liable to refund money you have paid or for any loss or damage you may suffer.

Please note though that we reserve the right to refuse to hand over the keys to you and also to terminate your holiday at our discretion. Again we would only do so in extreme circumstances.

5. CARE OF THE COTTAGE

We ask that you take care of the Cottage and leave it as you will find it - clean and tidy. Any breakages or damage must be paid for and the reasonable cost of replacement or repair will be decided by us. Please do not allow more people into the Cottage than you have booked for.

6. CARE OF YOURSELVES

We cannot accept liability for death, injury or damage to your belongings (unless it has been caused by our negligence) and you must take care for your own safety. Please make a particular note of the exit routes from the Cottage in case of fire and also consider the necessary safety requirements of being by the sea, including tide times.

7. DATA PROTECTION

We will retain your details for our own marketing purposes but will not release them to anyone else.

8. LAW

The contract we have with you is governed by English Law and is formed in Lancashire, England. Any disputes would be resolved either by Alternative Dispute Resolution or by the Courts of England and Wales.
